A life shaped by mountains
The mountains have shaped almost every part of my life. I have climbed Mt. Everest from Tibet and several of the world’s highest peaks, crossed Nepal on the Great Himalaya Trail and competed professionally in the mountains as a trail runner.
Over the years, I have kept returning to the Himalaya, a place I have come to think of as home, not only as an athlete and mountaineer, but also through my work on climate change and the future of mountain regions. These experiences have shaped how I move through the mountains, how I understand them and how I share them with others.

Creating the journeys I believe in
I craft distinctive small-group journeys around carefully designed programmes that allow people to experience the mountains with greater depth. Along the way, we study the landscape, spend time with the people who live there and better understand the places we cross.
Each journey is personal and grounded in strong local relationships. My aim is for people to return home not only with lasting memories, but with new knowledge and a deeper connection to the mountains.

This trek is rooted in my Great Himalayan Trail journey, a region I return to for its exceptional landscapes, long-standing friendships, rich mountain ecosystems, and the visible vulnerability of its glaciers. It’s also home to the best high-altitude bakery I’ve ever found.
